Monarch Monarch was a grand old horse featuring fine old blood from Upwey Ben Don through Paramount Ambassador as well as Ulendon and others right up close. In addition he stood 16 hands and was known for producing size and athletic ability. Twenty five years ago Monarch was a solid show horse but in today's world his size, substance and athleticism made him an excellent choice as a sport sire.
